Senior Manager, Internal Audit

About the Opportunity  

• Annual planning and ongoing monitoring of internal audit (“IA”) resource allocation/utilization, including developing annual budget for the IA program (as part of the overall Risk Management budget)
• Oversight of the IA program quality assurance, including review of testing approach and draft recommendations
• Development of IA testing protocols to ensure an appropriate level of scrutiny as well as a standardized testing approach across the organization
• Liaison / coordination with external auditors and other third parties supporting the IA program to ensure maximum reliance on IA control testing
• Actively participate in the identification and execution of process improvement/best practice initiatives designed to strengthen internal controls for greater reliance
• Prepare regular written reports on audit results, and track and follow-up on identified areas requiring management action
• Supervise and lead audits, including establishing project plans and milestones and analyzing risks
• Lead role in coaching and development of internal audit staff
• Work with business unit and functional management in assessing risk exposures and controls to define appropriate audit scope and strategies
• Propose new IA approaches, methods, and policies to optimize performance of the IA program and ensure adherence to internal auditing standards and best practices
• Maintain subject-matter expertise on relevant regulatory requirements and best practices
• Assist in insurance program management activities

About You

• CPA, CA, CMA or CGA
• Manager level or above with 3+ years of Bill 198 52-109 and/or SOX experience
• Can come from either public accounting or industry

Salary Range
$120,000-$140,000/year
