About the Company

Our client, a very large mining company located downtown, is hiring a Senior Internal Auditor to join their growing organization. They are a well-established organization that has a strong presence in the mining industry. They have a diverse, global portfolio of mines and exploration projects that are contributing to the growth of the organization.

About the Opportunity  

• Conduct and lead audits of the financial and operational activities of different operating mines, exploration sites and other business units
• Issue recommendations to senior management to help mitigate the Company's business risk and enhance operational efficiency
• Assist in setting the audit scope and plan; take responsibility for the overall execution of the audit engagement through wrap-up and final report delivery
• Manage and oversee Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) procedures, including establishing a top down risk based approach, and the proper nature, timing, and extent of procedures, and planning and coordinating SOX activities related to internal controls documentation and testing

About You

• Accounting designation
• Fluent in French
• Minimum of 5 years of audit experience (combination of both internal and/or external audit experience)
• Ability and willingness to travel - approximately 50-60%

Salary Range
$90,000-$100,000/year
