Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Accounting

About the Opportunity  

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Finance, this role is responsible for assisting in the ongoing analysis around the company's month-end financials to help ensure an accurate and timely close of the month-end.

• Creation of various reports and schedules for month-end reporting and reconciliation
• Review, approve and post transactions related to monthly finance income, ongoing rent, maintenance revenue and camera revenue
• Ensure contract amendments have been appropriately addressed by the Accounts Receivable team
• Assess and post impact of fluctuations in foreign exchange on general ledger and sub-leger balances
• Monitor status of customers and amend revenue recognition accordingly
• Review account reconciliations around cash, pre-paids, fixed assets and other various asset accounts
• Review and approve transactions related to fixed assets and pre-paids and the related schedules and/or continuities
• Train and provide guidance to staff
• Monthly analysis and reconciliation of manual accrued accounts receivable and certain deferred revenue accounts
• Assist with intercompany account reconciliations and prepare related journal entries
• Maintain the Chart of Accounts
• Lead the assets that are no longer in use, project them twice a year and present findings to management
• Monitor premise leases and document accounting treatment of new leases or lease renewals
• Continuous process improvements
• Assist with internal and external audit requests

About You

• CPA, CA designation
• 3-5 years’ experience in a large/multinational organization or a CA firm
• Proficiency in accounting, and the ability to offer assistance on accounting functions
• Highly efficient, with strong attention to detail
• Ability to stay focused on tasks while meeting tight deadlines

Salary Range
$80,000/year
