Senior Financial Analyst

This individual will be supporting business decision-making by providing accurate and timely information and analysis to management and various department heads. In addition, the individual will support the finance team through maintaining capital asset register and providing assistance during month-end process. Working closely with the Senior Financial Controller, the individual will also assist in various projects such as budgeting, process improvement, and system conversion.

About the Opportunity  

• Maintain and improve existing sales data pivot table to ensure alignment with general ledger and provide timely analysis (ex. by brand and family, by customer, by sales person etc.) to sales department
• Provide marketing, distribution and warehouse, and administration department detailed financial information while assisting in interpretation and analysis of data
• Assist Senior Financial Control and work with the EVP of sales and marketing, and GM of the company to set up margin report
• Prepare, analyze and report on weekly and monthly basis
• Improve processes of information gathering and build template/model to make analysis more efficient and accurate  
• Conduct decision analyses as needed and communicates results
• Maintain capital asset register in WorthIT and run depreciation journal entry out of WorthIT at month-end
• Assist with month-end process, including variance analysis and commentary, assist in reporting package preparation
• Assist with budgeting process as required, such as coordinate with various departments on information request, provide template and guidance, review chart of account change requests and coding changes, and interpret results
• Assist with review of current control, establish new ones to conform to public company standard, and test of control effectiveness 
• Assist with setting up inventory controls and costing strategy
• Assist in various process improvements and related implementation and training such as cash disbursement policy 
• Assist in system conversion
• Ad hoc projects as required

About You

• Business or accounting related University Degree
• Working towards or holds a professional financial/accounting designation
• 3-5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience with experience in data analysis, budgeting and control 
• Strong sense of professionalism and great work ethic
• Exceptional analytical skills, ability to dig into detail without losing sight of the big picture
• Excellent time management skills (ability to multi-task with multiple deadlines and prioritize crucial deliverables)
• Strong communication and business partnering skills
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications – an Excel expert

Salary Range
$75,000-$85,000/year
