Senior Financial Analyst

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst will be a key resource to senior management in further improving business and financial analysis and capitalizing on initiatives in order to drive profitability in the retirement division.

About the Opportunity  

  • Partner and provide support to the one of the divisions. Respond to business needs for additional analysis and reporting to aid strategic decision making, such as review market rates and revenue generation ideas
  • Work closely with General Managers and Regional Directors to provide on-time, accurate and quality business analysis, including business cases with ROI (return on investment) analysis
  • Prepare and enhance KPI reporting for senior management for the retirement division, including PRD analysis for all revenue and expense metrics. These key indicators will ensure operational and financial improvements are targeted across the portfolio
  • Develop, maintain and improve financial business models that will be used to perform forecasting, detailed analysis at the retirement residence level to drive informed and data-driven decisions
  • Support the annual budget process, working closely with operational finance and General Managers
  • Provide proactive analysis and support for key business improvement processes, including rate increase audits, Yardi EHR implementation and on-going support
  • Support financial system upgrades and other back office automation projects, related to the Retirement division

About You

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting or similar discipline
  • Accounting Designation (CPA, CA, CMA) or working towards an accounting designation is peferred
  • 3-5 years’ finance experience in financial analysis, business planning
  • Prior experience in senior housing or similar businesses preferred
  • Advanced MS Excel skills (macros, lookups, etc.) required and intermediate/advanced MS PowerPoint skills preferred
  • Experience with BI tools preferred
  • Effective verbal and written English communication skills required, along with superior communication and presentation skills

Salary Range
$70,000-$80,000/year
