As the Senior Financial Analyst you will be the lead in actively collaborating with the SLT in supporting financial reporting, ad-hoc analysis and operations performance improvement initiatives. Liaising with stakeholders across Canada, they are looking to you to be an effective communicator to help ensure the organization achieves its financial goals.

About the Opportunity

• Utilize your comprehensive understanding of SAP-FI.CO,PS modules for performing in depth cost, capital, revenue analysis for MD&A reporting
• Prepare analysis for the Senior Finance Leadership team: revenue, cash cost, mining cost, depreciation, inventory
• Actively support and work with senior leadership in preparing key analysis, templates,  presentations
• Continuous improvement initiatives; Coordinate with senior leadership to achieve automation of, and improvements in all analysis reporting. Prepare templates for analysis, as required, and send to operations
• Continuously collaborate with senior leadership to support request for adhoc analysis and business case development
• Analysis of monthly trial balance and schedule submission from subsidiaries, and reconciliation with Trial Balances
• Preparation and calculation of tax provisions based on information from the taxation department
• Preparation of non-standard Journal Entries and ensuring that all supporting documentations are accurate and complete
• Identify and implement new accounting pronouncements and their impacts on operations reporting
• Prepare, analyze and report on changes in production, cash costs, All-in Sustaining costs, net income, operating cash flow and capital expenditure
• Review and understand major capital spend at operations, and ensure spending is within budget while reporting on variances. Understanding cash versus cost and budget versus plan for project spending. Experience would be great with sustaining, R&D and capital projects
• Assist in the preparation of the quarterly capital expenditure report for the senior leadership team
• Maintain capital, sustaining and operating expenditure and cash flow reporting system
• Produce cash flow projections that support fund requests to cover needs of capital, sustaining, R&D projects

About You

• CPA, CA preferred or CMA, CGA
• SAP experience
• FI/CO module
• 5 years of experience in financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow
• Mining experience is preferred
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff
• The ability to work in a team environment and to work well under pressure
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task while adhering to deadlines
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills with great attention to detail

Salary Range
$75,000 - $85,000/year
