OUR CLIENT IS LOOKING FOR A SOFTWARE ENGINEER WITH DEEP C/C++ EXPERIENCE TO AUGMENT ITS DEVELOPMENT TEAM.

Senior C++ Software Engineer 

About the Opportunity

• Play an active role in the design and implementation
• Support architect with detailed design
• Support extended team through coaching and mentoring
• Code in accordance with defined standards
• Perform unit and system integration test

About You

• 7+ years of progressive experience in software development
• 5+ years of C/C++ application design and development
• The ability to quickly come up to speed on a foreign code base
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Mathematics
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to defend design and implementation decisions
• Collaborative by nature and an active team player with strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience analyzing and optimizing application performance on Linux or other *IX systems
• The ability to refactor application code without affecting the functional behaviour of the application
• Strong knowledge of C/C++
• Development technologies: C/C++, X11 and Qt on Linux
• Development platforms include both Linux and Windows
• A working knowledge of other toolkits/libraries such as Java, X11, SOAP, STL, Qt, and/or OpenSSL would be an asset
