Risk & Compliance Analyst
About the Company
Our client is a distributor and they are looking to expand their corporate risk and compliance staff. You will be working in the Etobicoke division with travel required to the downtown Toronto office, branch locations within the division, and plant sites within Canada, the U.S., and Chile depending on identified projects.
Reporting to the Manager of Corporate Risk and Compliance, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and execution of internal audit projects, compliance (CSOX), and enterprise risk management engagements. You will assist the Manager in helping the organization achieve its objectives by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Functionally, this role reports to the Manager of Corporate Risk and Compliance in the downtown Toronto office and administratively, this role reports to the Divisional VP of Finance.
About the Opportunity
- Compliance/CSO
- Maintain the success of the company’s compliance program
- Participate in various plant audits and site visits to ensure compliance, improve processes, identify cost savings and/or other value add propositions
- Enterprise Risk Management
- Facilitate the annual ERM project including identification of remediation plans to address risks identified
- Assist with the ongoing review of the risk registers and the ongoing assessment of new risks
- Assist with the preparation of the quarterly divisional risk reports for delivery to the Audit Committee
- Internal Audit
- Work with divisional management and Corporate Risk Group to identify areas of improvement for internal audit projects
- Participation in the development, monitoring and oversight of the divisional internal audit plans
About You
- CPA, CA designation
- Strong experience with audit and compliance
Salary Range
$75,000-$85,000/year
