Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst  is responsible for the preparation of external financial statements and compliance reporting, including consolidated financial statements and notes, Management Discussion and Analysis (MD&A). The Senior Financial Analyst will be providing assistance in the development of accounting policies and ensure that the Company's accounting policies are consistent.

About Opportunity

• Manage and maintain the company’s accounting policy manual including updates for changes in accounting policies, updates that clarify existing accounting positions, version control, etc.
• Assess impact and implement new IFRS and other regulatory requirements related to financial reporting
• Monitor SEC and OSC comment letter trends and apply items noted to the company’s disclosures and drafting, as well as the coordination of responses on accounting related comments issued by the regulatory bodies
• Assess accounting treatment and preparing documentation of such accounting treatment on non-routine and complex transactions (e.g. M&A activities, hedges, etc.)
• Provide guidance to corporate and operational finance teams to ensure significant transactions are properly accounted for and disclosed
• Support and/or prepare Audit Committee reports as needed
• Review statutory financial statement disclosures to ensure consistency with the disclosures in the consolidated financial statements
• Support Investor Relations with the review of the quarterly and annual earnings releases, investor presentations, etc., ensure consistency and accuracy with financial filings and appropriate disclosures of non-GAAP measures

About You

• University degree in business or accounting
• 3 years’ experience in related field
• CPA, CA designation, or equivalent
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Excellent communication skills 
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Salary Range
$75,000-$80,000/year
