About the Company

Our client, a leading supplier to the construction industry in North America, is hiring a new Senior Accountant. This organization has achieved strong growth over the years and also provides an amazing work-life balance for their employees. This role acts primarily as a Controllership position. The Senior Accountant will have full financial reporting and analysis responsibility for multiple locations and distribution centres in their assigned geographic region. The Senior Accountant will act as the main business partner to ensure the Operations Groups have the information they need to effectively manage their business units. This organization is growing, and the vision is this role will progress into a Corporate Controller role.

About the Opportunity  

• Perform month-end close activities and sign off on financial statements for distribution centres and warehouses
• Support operations management with full financial insight on business financial performance
• Participate and contribute in pricing strategy evaluations
• Ensure AP, AR, Payroll is accurately reflected on General Ledger
• Participate in the budgeting and forecasting for your assigned locations
• Prepare various ad-hoc special projects
• Lead within the internal and external audit process
• Perform various financial modelling exercises on category and brands related to key customer accounts
• Additional responsibilities and task not listed

About You

• CPA designation
• Prior experience partnering with operations personnel abroad
• Strong Excel skills, financial reporting
• 4 years of full cycle month-end close or assurance/audit experienced
• Experience working with ASPE or IFRS is an asset

Salary Range

$85,000/year
