About the Company

Our client, who is a fast growing mid-sized financial services organization based in Downtown, Toronto, is looking to hire a Senior Accountant. 

As the new Senior Accountant, you will be challenged daily with internal financial reporting, external OSFI, BCAAR regulatory reporting and soon the implementation of a new ERP system. About the Opportunity  

• Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements through preparing journal entries, SOX reconciliations, and MD&A reporting
• Manage audit relations and be the main point of contact for external auditors
• Responsible for maintaining compliance with regulatory and risk management framework
• Prepare OFSI filing, BCAAR schedules, various provincial filings
• Coordinate year-end audit
• Facilitate compliance and timely findings for income and commodity taxes
• Help ensure sales orders are properly uploaded in accordance with corporate policy
• Liaise and collaborate with all roles and levels to meet role responsibilities
• Perform other duties as assigned

About You

• CPA designation is a must
• Must have comprehensive Excel experience
• Must be an effective communicator
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role is a must
• Financial services industry experience is an asset
• Current GAAP and IFRS an asset
• Dealings with OSFI, BCAAR, Provincial filings an asset

Salary Range
$70,000-$75,000/year
