Senior Accountant

Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant for a 3-month project.

About the Opportunity  

• Assist with transition of accounting function from another territory
• Prepare and reconcile the division’s bank accounts in line with corporate policies
• Set up GL accounts and ensure they are consistent with the ones at head office.
• Reconcile the cash sales reports
• Assist in the division’s month-end process i.e. prepare and post journal entries
• Prepare and distribute monthly financial information
• Perform detailed examination of financials to assist in identifying and resolving issues and opportunities
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests, as required
• Identify and implement process improvements, when applicable

About You

• Accounting designation
• Strong Communication skills - ability to communicate effectively with remote teams
• 5+ years relevant experience
• AS/400 and IBM Cognos TM1 systems knowledge
• Proficient with MS office applications

Pay Range
$30 - $35/hour
