QA Engineer - 12 to 24 Month Contract (Closed)

LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED QA ENGINEER. Our client is sourcing for a QA Engineer to join them for a 12 to 24 month contract.

QA Engineer – 12 to 24 Month Contract

Location: Mississauga

About the Opportunity

• Perform multiple types of black-box, grey-box testing including functional, system, end-to-end, data integrity, user acceptance, smoke, regression, and ad hoc testing
• Perform validation of custom SAP Interfaces and workflows
• Contribute to building out Automation Framework for existing and new functionality
• Submit comprehensive defects using our bug tracking system
• Work with Application Developers and Product Owners to troubleshoot production and project issues
• Regress and verify defects as needed, record test results, and provide metrics
• Analyze requirements, develop testing strategies, and write test cases
• Provide work estimates
• Participate in Regression, Integration and User Acceptance testing of large SAP implementation

About you

• Experience with open source tools and resources
• Agile development methodologies and tools, continuous integration (Jenkins)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Hands-on software testing experience with at least 2 years of experience with open source automation tools and frameworks
• Has participated in Regression, Integration and User Acceptance testing of large SAP implementations
• Experience testing distributed systems
• Experience with API unit test automation frameworks
• Java coding skills
• Experience working in a UNIX/Linux environment and utilizing virtual machines
• Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience developing product test harnesses
• Strong experience in testing the business processes in ECC 6.0 for all modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, QM, HCM, WM, PLM etc.), BW business Intelligence and reporting, Business Objects Reporting
• Strong knowledge of SQL queries
• Extensive experience with JAVA and Selenium
• Experience with version control system GIT or Subversion
