Property Accounts Payable/Cash Receipts Clerk

This position is responsible for property accounts payables and cash receipts along with general accounting and clerical support to the Property Accountant.  This position calls for someone with strong organizational skills and would ideally suit an individual who is pursuing an accounting designation.

About the Opportunity

  • Process property accounts payable invoices
  • Accounts payable invoice entry (including recurring payables, paid invoices, etc.)
  • Accounts payable invoice entry for development draws
  • Job cost capital invoice entry
  • Process and entry of government remittance
  • Process cash receipts, input, posting and uploading of cash command
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of utility spreadsheets
  • Assist with copying, binding and distributing monthly reporting packages as required
  • Assist with audit requests, as necessary
  • Other duties, as necessary (ex. Bank deposits and mail pick up)

About You  

  • Accounting Experience – minimum 1-3 years’ experience in accounts payable/receipts
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Be self-motivated, diplomatic and able to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize time sensitive and, at times, heavy workload
  • Flexibility to meet tight deadlines, requiring additional hours as necessary
  • Knowledge of the commercial/office/retail property management industry would be considered a definite asset

Salary Range
$45,000 - $50,000/yea
