Payroll and Finance Coordinator

Our client is hiring an experienced and professional Payroll and Finance Coordinator. Responsibilities will include full payroll administration and finance support in key areas.

About the Opportunity

Payroll

  • Administer semi-monthly employee payroll through Ceridian
  • Promptly address payroll related questions from staff and partners and escalate payroll inquiries as required for accuracy and adherence to Firm policies
  • Review and verify payroll reports to ensure accuracy, detect discrepancies and make necessary adjustments or retroactive payments
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll information to the general ledger, including the preparation and oversight of all payroll-related journal entries for multiple companies
  • Act as the Payroll/Finance lead in the implementation of the Firm’s new HRIS system
  • Other ad-hoc payroll duties as required

Finance Administration

  • Prepare various salary cost reports for monthly and quarterly financial reporting purposes
  • Prepare various salary cost reports for business unit leaders during compensation season
  • Assist Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Coordinators with vendor payments and cash receipts

About You  

  • University degree or college diploma in finance or a related field
  • 2-5 years of Payroll experience
  • Excellent computer skills, especially Excel
  • Experience working with the “Ceridian In-Sync” software is beneficial but not mandatory
  • Impeccable accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills including listening, verbal and written
  • “Can-do” attitude, strong client/customer service orientation
  • Highly effective organizational skills, combined with the ability to multitask and prioritize daily and weekly to meet set and changing deadlines
  • Ability to handle all requests and inquiries in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner
  • High degree of business and personal sensitivity, utmost discretion and confidentiality
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Project management or system implementation experience is considered an asset

Salary Range
$50,000 - $60,000/year
