ARE YOU AN INTERMEDIATE PHP DEVELOPER WITH A PASSION FOR DATA? Our client is seeking an Intermediate PHP Developer to join their growing team on a full time basis (FTE). 

Intermediate PHP and Database Developer
The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of experience as a PHP Developer and must be able to show examples of their work while demonstrating a strong sense of pride on writing clean, usable code. Experience working with data/SQL and writing more complex SQL statements is a must.

About the Opportunity

• Create complex web-based applications in PHP5 and MySQL following established standards and methodologies of OO/ORM design on the LAMP stack
• Import data from multiple sources using SOAP/REST APIs and FTP files into MySQL databases by using PHP 
• Improve features in existing PHP and SQL applications
• Test applications to identify problems
• Determine the functionality that the website must support
• Implement bug fixes
• Work with other team members to integrate components

About You

• Experience with OO PHP (PHP5) design and development (40% of the role)
• Proven experience with MySQL, data manipulation and import/export using PHP and SQL, REST and SOAP APIs (50% of the role)
• Expert knowledge of SQL, including complex queries (Inner/Outer Joins, grouping, etc.)
• Experience with HTML5, CSS and JavaScript (10% of the role)
• Exposure to NoSQL (Cassandra or MongoDB or Hadoop/Hive/Pig, etc.) is a nice to have
• Exposure to AWS is a plus
• Exposure to jQuery is a plus
• Must be a team player, able to work with others, possess a strong work ethic, and have high standards in product quality
• Must be able to provide estimates for new projects and adhere to timelines while following design specifications
• Must be reliable and able to work during regular business hours or as required to finish a project
• Must be willing to learn from other team members, be open to the ideas of others, and also be willing to take direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must

Pay Range
$80,000 - $85,000/year
