Microsoft Office 365 Deployment - 7 Month Contract

Our client is a unique brand known for defying convention and stands out in the Canadian automotive landscape. They seek to enrich the lives of their customers through providing highly differentiated experiences and are currently launching an exciting new lineup of products. The client is running a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) which provides a full desktop environment to users from any connected device. They are working closely with a strategic partner who will assist with replacing the existing Office 2010 installation, legacy audio/web conferencing solution, and reliance on shared drives, with Office 365, Skype for Business and OneDrive for Business respectively.

About the Opportunity

  • Work with internal project lead and external partner to complete agreed-upon milestones
  • Assist the project lead with information gathering needs originating from the third-party partner, identify gaps, researching and testing solutions, and the conversion process
  • Assist with creating default configurations, permissions, and user account administration
  • Assist with user migration and data conversion
  • Provide first and second level support to Office 365 Users through the Help Desk
  • Liaise with the user base, determining and assisting with education needs, training
  • Assist with maturing Office 365 knowledge and usage by holding formal and informal training sessions
  • Liaise with other affiliates to resolve project and user issues
  • Identify and document best practices
  • Provide input into MCI IT and Desktop policies
  • Advise where needed to arrive at a solution that takes best advantage of the current VDI environment and the Office 365 client licenses available to users
  • Follow-up as needed with internal and affiliate resources

About you

  • Post-secondary education (degree/diploma) in related field
  • 3+ years’ experience with Office 365 deployments, migrations, and data conversions
  • Microsoft Office 365 certification is a plus
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • VMware Virtual Desktop knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Active Directory and networking are an advantage
  • Experience in a Help Desk/User Support environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to explain technical information to non-technical users
  • Ability to recommend and facilitate end-user training
