DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE MANAGING PAYROLL SERVICES? Our client is seeking an experienced Manager of Payroll Services to join them for a 12 month opportunity.
Manager of Payroll Services – 12 Month Contract
About the Opportunity
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll for employees, union and non-union
- Prepare analysis and reports for management to deal with emerging or adverse trends, to maintain the integrity of the total compensation program
- Ensure the proper application of benefit plan provisions
- Ensure that payroll and HRIS systems are fully documented and that support materials are available
- Review reports produced by the system to ensure that they meet the needs of improved decision making and to identify information shortfalls
- Oversee payroll year-end reconciliation and reports; EHT, WSIB, T4, T4A
- Develop departmental budget and monitor for compliance with program plan for payroll, benefits and compensation function
- Supervise/train staff
- Assist the Associate Director with legal and confidential HR matters
- Undertake special projects as required
About You
- University degree or college diploma in payroll, accounting, business, human resources or a related field
- PCP or CPM professional designation
- 5 years of full cycle payroll experience, with at least 3 years of managerial experience
- Previous experience working with multiple collective agreements
- Previous experience with an in-house payroll system an asset
- Knowledge of accounting, payroll regulations and information systems issues to assure smooth interface between functions
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills - written and verbal
- Ability to deal with multiple tasks under strict deadlines
Pay Range
$35-$37/hour
