ARE YOU A MANAGER OF FINANCIAL REPORTING LOOKING TO UTILIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE? Our client is seeking a professional Manager of Financial Reporting on a full-time basis.

Manager of Financial Reporting

The Manager of Financial Reporting will assist in the preparation of the company’s financial reporting (consolidated financial statements and MD&A), ensuring that company procedures conform to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and are prepared for filing on both SEDAR (OSC) and EDGAR (SEC). The selected candidate will be responsible for researching, developing, and documenting technical accounting memos, as well as play an active role in the internal control structure.

About the Opportunity:

  • Prepare financial statements and reports that meet all regulatory and accounting guidelines
  • Prepare quarterly and annual management discussion and analysis (MD&A)
  • Provide advice and guidance on all technical accounting matters including research of IFRS
  • Implementation of new IFRS standards, including IFRS 9, 15, and 16
  • Participate in the year-end audit and preparation of audited financial statements
  • Execute internal controls with respect to financial policies, processes and procedures

About You

  • University degree in Business/Accounting
  • Designated CPA, CA
  • Minimum of 5-10+ years of professional accounting experience, including public practice and working in publicly traded companies
  • Experience managing accounting staff
  • Strong IFRS technical accounting skills as evidenced by excellent research and documentation skills supporting accounting positions
  • Strong experience with internal controls
  • Good understanding of IFRS
  • Multi-jurisdictional accounting functions and multi-currency experience an asset
  • Cross-functional understanding of vertically integrated global business issues
  • Strong analytic skills, proactive change management capabilities

Salary Range
$90,000-$110,000/year
