ARE YOU A SEASONED MANAGER OF FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS LOOKING TO UTILIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE? Our client is seeking a Manager of Financial Planning and Analyst on a full-time basis.
Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis
The primary focus of the role is to act as a deputy to the Director FP&A and manage the financial planning and reporting processes for the client.
This role includes Planning and Reporting for Canadian division's results, providing superior insights on company performance, predictive analysis and decision support.
About the Opportunity
- Responsible for management of the Company’s Profit and Loss results against target or plan in conjunction with the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis
- Plan and direct the timely preparation and reporting of monthly financial results of the client
- Plan and direct the preparation of forecasts (short term and long term) and budgets within deadlines
- Monitor, evaluate and advise on operational performance compared to budgets and forecasts, including preparation of variance analysis
- Work closely with Pricing team as well as Sales and Marketing Teams on brand performance
- Preparation of the Company’s annual and long-term P&L budgets/strategic plans
- Identify and explain underlying business trends and the financial implications of strategic decisions
- Identify and address growth opportunities, business risks, opportunities and uncertainties
- Participate in the Company’s long-term strategic planning process
- Financial reporting and analysis for Export business
- Management and supervision of 3 analysts
About You
- University Completed Education
- Completed Canadian Chartered Accountancy (equivalent) designation
- Previous planning/management reporting experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience with Big Four Public accounting firm auditing public companies
- Previous experience with Essbase, Hyperion, or Prisma reporting systems would be an asset
- Previous industry experience would be an asset
- Working knowledge of Canadian Securities Regulations affecting public companies
- Work with external and internal auditors to resolve issues proactively
- Excellent business acumen and analytical skills
- Demonstrated initiative, with strong attention to detail
- Self-starter who works well with limited supervision
- Leadership and team management
- Computer literate with strong skills in Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Salary Range
$90,000-$115,000/year
