Senior Financial Analyst

Our client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in their west end location. This position is a challenging opportunity to work in one of the largest revenue generating business units, as well as one of the business’ growth areas. The Senior Financial Analyst supports the business unit by ensuring the effectiveness of business processes and through compliance with rules and regulations surrounding internal controls.

About the Opportunity  

• Prepare financial models to support accounting analyses and decisions
• Develop financial and business processes to support month-end close and internal controls  
• Partner with IT and Finance Analytics to understand and test system impacts
• Engage with Business Operations to enact required process changes 
• Research technical accounting issues
• Analyze the accuracy and reliability of monthly financial results to ensure the integrity of IFRS 15 financial reporting, including: investigation of variances, preparing continuities and reconciliations.

About You

• University education in a business/accounting related discipline
• CPA, CA professional designation
• 3+ years work experience; preferably at a large public accounting firm
• Strong communication skills
• Experience with practical application of IFRS accounting principles
• Results oriented with the ability to prioritize 
• Strong proficiency in MS applications including Excel, Access, Word

Salary Range
$65,000-$75,000/year
