Lead DB2 Database Administrator/Architect

About the Opportunity

• Oversee and maintain the day-to-day operations of a large enterprise, high-traffic DB2 machines running in a multi-platform environment
• Delivery of physical database design, database maintenance, capacity planning, application database support, analysis, planning and execution services
• Collaborate with Application Development and Solution Architecture teams for Design and Prototyping of existing and new capabilities using Agile methodology
• Direct and mentor a team of three intermediate DBAs

About You

• 10+ years with database design and implementation with high-volume and high-availability databases and warehouses using IBM DB2
• Data modeling experience, targeting OLTP and data warehouse solutions 
• Strong understanding of how data models/schemas affect performance and support of applications/databases
• Working Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Administration is a big plus
• Experience with all standard DBA functions (shell scripting, performance tuning, architecture, backups, monitoring, capacity planning, support, maintenance, etc.)
• Experience with data migration between DB2 and MSSQL using script or export data jobs
• Experience with enterprise multi-tiered application hosting and DEV/TEST/PROD setups
• Exposure to Big Data (e.g. Hadoop) is a plus
• Good communication and presentation experience with IT and business leadership

Pay Range
$110,000 - $120,000/year
