JUNIOR NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR NEEDED FOR EXCITING OPPORTUNITY AT TOP CLASS ORGANIZATION IN TORONTO. Our client is currently seeking a professional for a 4 month contract.

Junior Network Administrator – 4 Month Contract

In this role you will be filling in for the Senior Network Administrator while they are managing other business critical projects. You will also be supporting around 100 locations remotely as well as a local head office.

About the Opportunity

  • Hands on and working technical knowledge of Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012 Server, Cisco Products, Routers/Switches, Active Directory, TCP/IP, SQL Server, Cable Patching, LAN/WAN, Remote Desktop, etc.
  • Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards, including hardware RAID, Active Directory, TCP/IP
  • Working knowledge of Symantec Backup Exec and Enterprise Antivirus
  • Ability to support close to 100 offices remotely
  • Ability to work with Vendors over the phone and via email
  • Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience
  • Able to install, support, and troubleshoot server and PC hardware components and peripherals
  • Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives

About you

  • College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science with a focus on network design and administration
  • 3-4 years relevant work experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly and non-technical language
  • Highly self-motivated and directed
  • Highly positive attitude
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to effectively communicate directly with stakeholders
