About the Company

Our client is a small/mid-sized public accounting firm located in Markham. They are hiring an Intermediate or Senior Accountant to join their team to lead the assurance engagements, including the planning, fieldwork, and supervision of staff. This is a great opportunity for anyone that wants to grow their career within a growing firm. 

About the Opportunity  

• Prepare audit, review, and compilation working papers
• Prepare financial statements and appropriate disclosures in accordance with GAAP
• Prepare corporate, trust and personal income tax returns
• Prepare information filings such as T4s and T5s
• Prepare special reports and/or analysis such as financial forecasts or projections
• Supervision, training and mentoring of junior staff
• Assist with development of firm standards
• Professional interaction with clients and staff

About You

• CPA, CA designation
• 4-5 years of public accounting experience, including the performance of assurance engagements at a mid-sized CPA firm
• Through knowledge of ASPE, ASNFPO, and CAS
• Working knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, and TaxPrep

Salary Range
$50,000-$85,000/year
