ARE YOU AN OUTGOING, ENERGETIC AND COLLABORATIVE HELP DESK ANALYST WHO IS LOOKING FOR AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY? Our client, located in downtown Toronto, is currently seeking an extroverted and energetic Help Desk Analyst to join their growing organization. This position is a 6 month contract to hire.

About the Opportunity

  • Respond to Help Desk tickets as appropriate, manage and execute daily service and support tickets as assigned as well as entering them into the Service Desk ticketing system, assigning priority, triaging and resolving or escalating to the Director
  • Support end users with issues and questions related to the MS Office 2010 Suite, such as merging Word documents, adding/removing headers/footers, creating complex tables in Excel, and others as per requirements
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of I.T. related issues by researching, identifying and resolving technical problems
  • Track and monitor end user I.T. related issues to insure timely resolution; follow up and communicate frequently
  • Responsible for providing senior-level support, troubleshooting and resolution of technology problems
  • Work with other members of the team and systems administration team to solve users’ questions and issues
  • Track and monitor Help Desk issues to ensure accurate and timely resolution
  • Install, maintain, manage, service, troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, operating systems, desktop PCs, printers and laptops issues
  • Assist with the management of Windows 7, Office 365, Active Directory, System Centre Configuration Manager, Citrix, Document Management, Laptops and Desktops, Anti-Malware and other IT tools
  • Experience supporting Mac is a bonus
  • Playing a role in asset management – ordering, inventorying, tracking both for hardware and software
  • Coordinate workstations, printers, PDAs, telephones, projectors and boardroom conferencing systems
  • Assist with meeting setups and take down of video conference equipment, laptops and projectors
  • Participate in team projects as assigned

About you

  • 3-5 years of relevant university degree/college diploma and/or professional experience
  • Superuser of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Team player with excellent organizational skills, outgoing and likable
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • You are highly organized and demonstrate strong time management skills through your ability to multitask and adapt to constantly changing priorities and demands
  • Your customer service skills include the ability to effectively and efficiently responding to Associate inquiries; identifying stated and unstated customer needs; resolve any conflicts or problems that might arise, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel in a dynamic, team-oriented and demanding work environment
  • Ability to work independently and with excellent judgment to both follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative as required
  • Capable of setting priorities and maintaining flexibility while under pressure
  • Ability to work with other technologies
