Fund Administrator - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

The Fund Administrator is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of the North American and International securities investments, trades and corporate actions.

  • Process Corporate Action requests accurately as outlined by Managers from various North American and International accounts
  • Communicate on a timely basis on any issues with Managers and Custodians, and keep inventory of outstanding or pending actions as well as respond to any or all voluntary corporate actions by the deadline date to the different custodians
  • Review investment and trade data received for input from multiple sources; investigate discrepancies
  • Conduct analysis, investigate possible errors and make corrections to the trade data that has already been input within documented guidelines. Process changes to the investments that have been brought to the Data Maintenance area from the reconciliation area as requested
  • Do interest calculations using different accrual methods to determine accuracy on trades when they don’t agree with the in-house accounting system
  • Input investment and trade data related to complicated international investments from multiple investment offices into the systems as requested by our International Managers
  • Input investment and trade data related to complex securities such as asset-backed or private placement securities
  • Prepare and upload numerous payment schedules and special payments as provided by the Private Placement middle office within the deadline date
  • Review and monitor various data elements for control and integrity to the core securities data and information
  • Update multiple financial and reporting related fields on trade and investment records as advised
  • Compose and document procedures of various area functions
  • Identify areas of opportunity through analysis and develop recommendations for improvement

About You

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a securities operations environment, including securities data input and corporate action processing
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, basic macros)
  • Canadian Securities Course (CSC) an asset
  • Excellent knowledge and current understanding of securities instruments
  • Excellent understanding of International and North American corporate actions

Pay Range
$15-$17/hour
