ARE YOU AN EXPERINCED SENIOR FINANCIAL/BUSINESS ANALYST? Our client is looking to fill a position as a Financial/Business Analyst.

Financial / Business Analyst

The Financial Analyst must have experience supporting and troubleshooting day-to-day investment operational issues using their exceptional analytical skills. The successful incumbent will also be responsible for analysis on key projects and exhibit innovative ideas to influence positive project outcomes and process improvements. The expectation of this position will be to apply project management and business analysis talents in the execution of work assignments. The position requires an understanding of accounting, administration systems and ability to quickly investigate issues and determine correct course of action with minimal direction. The candidate will be working as part of a major acquisition integration, including project planning, testing, and documentation. Will ensure all documents are up to date to meet audit requirements.  

About the Opportunity  

  • Research and resolve inquiries/issues
  • Perform special projects to improve process efficiency and performance
  • Provide value-added analysis and clear, concise commentary on proposed project documents for system changes impacting team
  • Demonstrate appropriate understanding/working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls and apply them
  • Document and train business end users on changes relating to project releases, including the creation of process reviews, document work flows and assist in process improvements
  • Understand risks and issue logging, along with proposed mitigating solutions
  • Build strong relationships with project partners and deal with crisis resolution
  • Display strong business and technical knowledge and provide support to peers to facilitate the development of project scope, risk, impacts and quality criteria
  • Provide recommended project resource and schedule estimates to leader and track to actuals
  • Prepare recommendations and implement mechanisms to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of business and finance processes and controls
  • Develop and/or review project requirement documents (i.e. Business Requirements, Test Strategy, Functional Specifications, procedural documentation) clearly defining requirements, testing and documentation according to project schedules. Ensure quality and accuracy of data, reconciliations and adjustments as required
  • Investigate, analyze and action test results and assess trends to assist with business decisions
  • Independently verify and reconcile information under review, ensuring accuracy of information and output delivered

About You

  • Bachelor degree in accounting and/or 5+years of accounting experience
  • Project analysis/BA experience
  • Trust/fund accounting experience is a bonus
  • Understanding of accounting processes, procedure and internal controls
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently
  • Proven ability to exercise flexibility and judgment in assessing business issues and associated risks while staying focused on project deliverables
  • Ability to negotiate, influence and resolve conflicts with project team members and flexible when faced with challenges and change
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel


Pay Range
$33/hour
