Financial Analyst - 4-6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Complete account reconciliations in preparation of monthly financial package
  • Prepare and analyze monthly statistical reports identifying trends and anomalies
  • Assist with generation of monthly financial statements
  • Analyze monthly financial statements for completeness and identify variances
  • Support in the development of annual forecast
  • Assist with bank deposit journal entries and monthly bank reconciliation
  • Support with month-end journal entries
  • Lead the project of reconciling billing system with accounting system
  • Enter and complete authorized write-offs in billing system
  • Update billing database through correction of exam errors
  • Contact external parties to validate patient and/or physician information
  • Verify invoices are approved and complete with supporting documents prior to processing of payment

About You

  • Post-secondary education in accounting and/or finance
  • 1-2 years’ experience in accounting and/or finance environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to learn new processes and procedures
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet agreed deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well a strong team player
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or InteleRIS software considered an asset

Pay Range
$18-$22/hour
