Financial Analyst - 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Analyze and prepare monthly deferred billing packages for 1.1 million customer database and revenue of $200 million which represents a significant component of overall company revenue
• Prepare crucial monthly senior management reporting packages by product, branch and lines of business
• Perform variance analysis and apply continuous improvement principles to implement change with respect to company revenue
• Monitor system integrity between General Ledger and billing engine
• Work with IT and business resources, such as accounts receivables, to write specifications and test any system changes
• Identify opportunities for increased efficiencies and improvements to the current reporting process
• Monitor and prepare entries for 3rd party billing
• Monitor and prepare entries for portfolio acquisitions
• Participate in Budget preparation process for CIS and Finance
• Assist with special projects as required

About You

• 2-5 years of experience as an operations or financial analyst
• Strong business/financial background including modeling and analytics
• Completion of a business or financial degree
• Current enrolment in CGA or CMA program an asset
• Relationship builder with the ability to develop new and effective relationships with internal business areas.
• Ability to get results without having straight line reporting authority
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent MS Excel skills including Excel Analysis Tool Pack
• MS Access, SQL and VBA experience an asset
• Ability to interpret and explain data
• Experienced and comfortable making presentations to Senior Management
• Detail oriented and results focused as well as the able to see the big picture and how the task fits into accomplishing the overall company objectives

Pay Range
$18-$22/hour
