Financial Analyst - 12 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

• Participate on working groups providing regular status updates of assigned tasks
• Investigate and document current accounting, financial reporting and administrative processes
• Analysis of potential process, control and report improvements using new or existing tools
• Identify issues and follow them through to resolution with support from the project team
• Effectively work with project and business unit staff across all areas in Canadian division
• Provide options/recommendations to support decision making
• Support other project activities including: meeting coordination and minutes, setting up project plans, change management, preparing project status reports and steering committee presentations
• Work cooperatively with all areas of the business and develop productive working relationships with key business partners, including other project teams

About You

• Accounting designation (CPA/CA/CMA/CGA)
• At least three years of experience working in an accounting and/or financial reporting role
• Experience working in a project-related finance role would be an asset
• Ability to analyze and document accounting processes
• Knowledge of the project cycle and project documentation requirements
• Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Experience with SharePoint would be an asset
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred

Pay Range
$30-$32/hour
