Financial Analyst

We are looking for a self-motivated individual to join our client’s fast-paced finance team. You must be an effective communicator and be able to work within a team environment as well as independently. Under the guidance of the Controller, you will be responsible for providing senior management with interpretive and predictive financial analysis to make business performance assessments. This is a great opportunity to gain a breadth of experience in a manufacturing company with a subsidiary in China.

About the Opportunity

• Assist with preparation of monthly and yearly budget for Toronto headquarters, China subsidiary, and consolidated budget
• Assist with preparation of consolidated financial reporting
• Maintain and develop various financial templates including costing template
• Analyze and monitor financial statements and other reports for conformance to budget, perform variance analysis, and develop recommendations for adjustments and improvements
• Analyze and interpret trends requiring management’s attention
• Develop, maintain, and provide financial information, plans, and projections to management
• Prepare other financial reports, charts, tables and other exhibits as requested

About You  

• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3 years’ experience in a financial analysis role
• Proficient in MS Office, with advanced Excel skills
• Strong communication skills; both verbal and written
• Financial Analysis: 2 years
• Microsoft Office: 1 year
• Microsoft Excel - Advanced: 1 year
• Financial Analyst: 2 years
• Accounting: 1 year

Salary Range
$45,000 - $50,000/year
