Financial Analyst

Our client is looking for a candidate who has financial analysis and budgeting experience combined with a CPA, CA designation. Reporting to the Manager, Financial Operations, the ideal candidate will have worked in cross-functional teams and will have strong communication skills. The ability to think critically and being able to ask the right questions in order to get to the root cause of issues is imperative for success in this role.

About the Opportunity  

• Develop costing analysis for various new business opportunities for our National Operations
• Conduct monthly and quarterly financial analysis for our National Operations
• Work with appropriate parties to design and report on key performance metrics where necessary
• Provide detailed cost/benefit analysis for various initiatives
• Provide input around critical business processes affecting financial results
• Provide recommendations for financial or operational improvements
• Lead part of the budgeting process for certain business segments

About You

• Professional accounting designation CPA, CA
• Minimum three years of experience, preferably with industry experience
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to think both at the big picture and detailed level
• Experience budgeting coupled with providing financial and business analysis in a dynamic environment
• Experience building  financial models
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including being able to influence where necessary
• Ability to be adaptable and willingly embrace change
• Strong sense of urgency and respect for deadlines
