Finance Manager/Accounting Manager – 13 Month Contract

About the Opportunity  

  • Oversee the accounting and administrative operations of the branch, with a focus on control systems, transaction-processing operations, billing, portfolio tracking, policies and procedures, inventory management and levels, and timely collection of AR
  • Timely and accurate month-end reporting of financial statements in accordance with accounting practices
  • Development, reporting, and alignment of KPIs and processes spanning business units and products
  • Assist the GM and local Management team in achieving revenue, margin, and operating expense budgets
  • Work to align processes with company processes for comparable reporting and continuous improvement
  • Integral part of integration and implementation to Corporate systems and processes
  • Lead annual strategic plan and budgeting process, working with key stakeholders at the branch and corporate level
  • Help on board new, and existing, products for accurate tracking and reporting of both financial and management metrics
  • Perform regular reviews of cost, quality, safety and productivity metrics, setting plans and executing these effectively to drive optimal performance of Operations team and third-party partners through goal setting, observation, coaching and reviews
  • Work cross-functionally with local and corporate teams for evolving current, or introducing new, products
  • Deliver prompt and efficient resolution to customer inquiries/complaints
  • Support of other Western branches as required, with some travel

About You

  • 5+ years’ experience at a senior leadership role in Accounting or Finance
  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Designation in or working towards a CPA, CA, CGA or CMA an asset
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience leading change to move the business forward
  • Track record in building relationships with business units
  • Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical, detail oriented
  • Responsive and easily adapts to change
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work with direct supervision being remote
  • Some travel to other branches may be required

Pay Range
$40/hour
