ARE YOU A SENIOR ENTERPRISE NETWORK ANALYST? We are working with a large client in the professional services industry who is looking to hire a Senior Network Analyst for their internal IT team in downtown Toronto.

About the Opportunity

  • Support the Director of Infrastructure in the administration and coordination of the IT infrastructure portfolio life cycle
  • Infrastructure portfolio life cycle entails the development, maintenance (including break fix and patching), refreshes, and end of life decommissioning of the infrastructure portfolio, which includes telecommunication, Cisco networking, VOIP, and data centre
  • Develop and maintain networking infrastructure development standards and procedures
  • Develop, engineer, design and maintain highly complex telecommunication and networking infrastructure technologies, including telecommunication, networking, VOIP, and data centre in accordance to design standards, systems development life cycle, and business requirements
  • Ensure infrastructure functions are designed / configured to meet business requirements, tested in accordance to the testing methodology, perform in accordance to operating requirements, deployed to meet service/operating requirements, and maintained and operated in compliance to IT policies and procedures 
  • Ensure documentation is developed and maintained while knowledge is transferred among IT stakeholders
  • Assess critical telecommunication and networking infrastructure with predictive analysis on trends and providing advice / recommendations to the Director on opportunities to improve performance / capacity / reliability and to mitigate risk to infrastructure services
  • Provide day-to-day operation of telecommunication and networking infrastructure services in accordance to ITIL practices, including incident management, problem management, release management, change management, availability management, capacity management, etc.
  • Work closely with other team members in areas of IT infrastructure and system operations
  • Provide second/third level support in incident resolution related to technology infrastructure, with a focus on escalated issues and high priority incidents
  • Participate in work teams with other stakeholders in IT, Project Management Office, vendors, and other business practice groups from a technology infrastructure development life cycle perspective, including soliciting input and working with IT Security to ensure compliance to security policy and requirements

About You

  • University degree or equivalent in Information Technology or a related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of IT experience, 2 years of which in a senior network analyst role
  • Conceptual knowledge and relevant certification in:
    • Switching, routing and internetworking (LAN/WAN, Wireless, Tunneling)
    • Network Protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, EIGRP, STP)
    • Network Services (e.g. QoS, 802.1x, DNS, DHCP, SNMP, SMTP)
    • Network Management Systems (e.g. SNMPc, SCOM, SCCM, HP SIM, APC, Syslog)
    • Network Security (e.g. Cisco ASA, ACS, ISE, SSL VPN, 2FA)
    • Network Operating Systems (e.g. Microsoft Windows 2008/2012)
    • Directory Services (e.g. Microsoft AD, GPO, LDAP)
    • Network Storage (e.g. HP Storage SAN and ISCSI) Blade Technologies Virtualization (e.g. Hyper-V)
    • Application Delivery Control Management
    • RDBMS (e.g. MS SQL Server)
    • Messaging Services (e.g. MS Exchange, Archiving, Gateway Security)
    • Anti-malware Solutions (Client and server)
    • Communications Network (e.g. VoIP, Lync, Conferencing)
    • Mobile Device Management

Pay Range
$85,000 - $90,000/year
