Director of Finance

About the Opportunity  

• As a key member of the leadership team, work with the CEO to help create, analyze and develop financial reporting requirements and structure for the company
• Create the development of a financial plan that aligns with and enables the achievement of the strategic plan
• Determine reporting requirements and framework
• Assess reporting software and systems to ensure accurate consolidations
• Develop/cultivate positive relationships with staff, board members and key external stakeholders
• Oversee the timely issuance of financial budgets and reporting (internal and external) including
• Quarterly reporting and annual financial statements, regulatory reporting, reporting to the Executive team, Board of Directors and other analysis
• Enhance/develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure appropriate standards are in place utilizing knowledge of industry best-practices
• U.S. statutory reporting requirements as per U.S. GAAP

About You

• Highly intelligent with strong work ethic
• Strong financial accounting skills
• The ideal candidate has international experience with exposure to U.S. GAAP, minority interest accounting, set-up, tax implications and regulatory requirements
• The successful candidate will have had a minimum 6+ years accounting/financial management experience with at least 5 years in a senior role; ideally at an early-stage, high-growth and fast-paced company that has conducted business in the US
• University degree in Business/Commerce/Administration with a professional accounting designation
• CPA, CA; MBA is an asset but not a requirement

Salary Range
$130,000-$150,000/year
