About the Company

This role allows you to exercise your professional ability as the leader of Anti-Money Laundering (AML). While participating in this role, the incumbent will have the opportunity to learn the industry continually,  while gaining experience within the gaming industry.

About the Opportunity  

  • Create, maintain and monitor corporate AML policies, frameworks and related training
  • Create, maintain and enhance the AML compliance program, including regulatory reporting procedures, the risk assessment framework, monitoring and testing procedures, issue management and reporting procedures and the associated training materials
  • Oversee AML training development and implementation
  • Ensure FINTRAC compliance and reporting obligations are met including overseeing the processes for the client to report suspicious transactions, possession of terrorist property, large cash transactions, electronic fund transfers and casino disbursements
  • Manage and report on AML compliance events/issues
  • Work with Service Delivery Management to obtain information from Service Providers required to support the AML program
  • Provide accurate and appropriate reporting and management information on projects and initiatives undertaken within the AML program, including progress against strategic priorities
  • Manage the requirements of modernizing the system as it relates to the AML compliance program including additional reporting and training responsibilities
  • Research changes in regulation and incorporate those into the AML compliance program
  • Act as industry, regulatory and law enforcement liaison on matters concerning the AML program
  • Advocate on behalf of the client on AML public policy issues including legislative changes
  • Establish and cultivate productive relationships with client contacts and law enforcement agencies
  • Maintain key relationships within the company to ensure that AML policies and procedures are up to date and relevant, and that they are effectively communicated to all stakeholders

About You

  • University degree in law, business, accounting, economics or related discipline
  • Proven ability to lead and develop an AML Compliance program including structuring AML professional roles and responsibilities
  • 10 years of related experience in increasingly senior AML risk/compliance management roles
  • Knowledge of anti-money laundering legislation, trends, best practices, processes and strategies
  • Ability to learn the clients’ corporate business model in order to understand the strategic implications of the AML program for the organization and its businesses
  • Proven people management skills including the ability to train and motivate staff, set objectives and monitor performance
  • Experience in the Gaming industry is an asset though not required

Salary Range
$120,000-$165,000/year
