ARE YOU A SEASONED DEVOPS ADMIN LOOKING TO UTILIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE? Our client is seeking a DevOps Admin for an exciting opportunity 6 month opportunity.

DevOps Admin – 6 Month Contract

About the Opportunity

  • Develop, implement and execute procedures for the administration, backup, disaster recovery and operation of IT systems including system security hardening, backup management, capacity planning, change management, and lifecycle upgrade management
  • Design, write scripts, analyze, evaluate, test, debug and implement automated testing frameworks. (i.e. Jenkins, OpenALM)
  • Monitor and track key health and performance metrics of systems and applications
  • Contribute to the development, testing, evaluation and design of system and infrastructure architecture
  • Develop tools and scripts to automate the deployment, administration, and monitoring of AWS cloud services, moving from a bare-metal server to a cloud based implementation

About you

  • Very strong background in Linux-based system administration, understand the value of automation and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with at least one of the cloud migration COTS tools, and/or AWS native migration services
  • Experience with automation/configuration management using Docker (preferred), Puppet, Chef or equivalent
  • Strong experience with managing LAMP stack applications (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)
  • Diligent problem solver that excels at finding elegant and practical solutions
  • Experience with improving processes, workflows, and communication
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Working understanding of Redis
