Credit and Collections Specialist – 3-4 Week Contract
About the Opportunity
- Contact customers to collect outstanding receivables, identify outstanding situations and follow up with these customers until resolution is obtained
- Work with the different internal departments to help settle outstanding situations (i.e. Sales, Operations or Internet for outstanding claims)
- Identify customers that are about to be denied future advertising and take the necessary steps once all attempts have been made to recover receivables
- Do account reconciliations and provide ongoing billing information to customers
- Prepare weekly report and analysis (such as DNS, allowance for bad debt, etc.)
About You
- High school diploma; college/technical school diploma
- 2 years’ collections experience in a commercial environment
- Intermediate PC skills (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Accounting system experience, experience with Great Plains
- Strong organizational and time management skills; able to work under deadlines and respond to multiple demands
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Perseverance: ability to work under pressure
- Effective team player
- Customer focus
Pay Range
$19-$23/hour
