ARE YOU A CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST SEEKING AN OPPORTUNITY TO WORK FOR A GLOBAL FIRM? Our client is looking for a Credit and Collections Specialist for a full-time role.

Credit and Collections Specialist

About the Opportunity

  • Take ownership of a portfolio of accounts
  • Ensure the timely payment of invoices on account
  • Key point of contact for our customer, both internal and external
  • Analyze company credit experiences for new applications 
  • Analyze paying habits of accounts that are delinquent
  • Evaluate customer records and recommend credit limit changes or accounts be closed
  • Ensure all legal aspects have been covered and protect the company’s interest at all times
  • Reconcile accounts when customers have short paid invoices due to credit notes such as pricing, returns or tax adjustments
  • Process credit card payments and cheques when required

About You  

  • Minimum of 1 year credit and collections experience in a business environment 
  • Excellent English written and verbal skills required
  • Demonstrate ability to influence customers in a credit and collection setting
  • Policy and procedure oriented
  • Deal tactfully with customers, co-workers and management 
  • Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Construction collection experience would be a plus 
  • Excellent research and resolution skills
  • Highly motivated, self-starting and have the ability to work in independently as well as in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency in MS Office. Experience in AS400 and Get Paid would be an asset 

Salary Range
$45,000 - $50,000/year
