ARE YOU A SEASONED CREDIT AND COLLECTIONS ANALYST LOOKING TO UTILIZE YOUR EXPERIENCE? Our client is seeking a Credit and Collections Analyst on a full-time basis.

Credit and Collections Analyst

About the Opportunity

  • Assist with reviewing and administering requirements for new clients/companies
  • Review all invoices and mail appropriately on a timely basis
  • Manage and follow up on debt collection on all purchases for assigned sales by written communication, telephone communication up to, and including, legal action
  • Update client notes in system on collection efforts
  • Issue payment reminder letters and monthly statements
  • Maintain clients' accounts, update restrictions, financial information and noting accounts appropriately
  • Meet with appropriate staff to review all sale related matters prior to settlement and subsequently keeping them informed on all open debts
  • Liaise with Payment Administrators to review outstanding payments, both pre and post settlement
  • Liaise with Settlements Department for allocation and offsetting of proceeds against client debts when necessary
  • Respond and assist on all client inquiries including assistance with sale tax, shipping instructions and payment issues
  • Follow up with appropriate staff on cancelled sales
  • Assist with monthly bad debt reporting
  • Process re-invoicing request upon approval
  • Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

About You  

  • 5+ years of experience working in a senior Credit and Collections role is preferred
  • Completion of post-secondary studies in related field would be considered an asset
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to be assertive and manage escalated customer interactions
  • Ability to work with and manage confidential information while using independent judgment
  • Proficient with the use of a computer, including but not limited to the use of Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience working with TMW and Great Plains software would be considered an asset
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others and work as a member of a team
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to liaise with all levels of staff to achieve department objectives
  • Strong ability to multi-task and effectively manage work requirements
  • Professional certified credit designation would be considered an asset
  • Experience working within the transportation industry would be considered an asset

Salary Range
$60,000/year
