About the Company
Our client is a leading Canadian health care communications company, providing marketing and analytic services to its customers within the healthcare industry. Leveraging its strong database, this organization is able to provide its customers with useful market insights and assist them with targeted marketing strategies.
About the Opportunity
- Develop and direct an effective system of accounting and related controls for all associated companies
- Advise and make recommendations to the President concerning company objectives, policies or plans as they relate to accounting/finance
- Assist and coordinate with the company’s external accountants in their annual review of the financial statements
- Ensure that all federal and provincial tax reporting is prepared and filed on time with the appropriate government agencies
- Provide regular cash forecasting and ensure that adequate funds are available to meet current and future obligations
- Maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including shareholders, banks, external accountants, suppliers and customers
- Leadership and management of the accounting team
About You
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent
- Strong computer/IT skills with advanced proficiency in MS Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous experience with new systems implementation
- Operational responsibility
- Experience with Sage 300 is desirable
Salary Range
$90,000-$110,000/year
