About the Opportunity  

The Controller ensures there are no errors on the company’s balance sheet, statements of profit and loss, cash flows or retained earnings.

• Supervise the preparation of monthly journal entries
• Prepare financial statements for a company
• Help maintain accountability of the financial resources of a company
• Handle personally or supervise general ledger reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with all internal controls
• Train staff on proper company procedures
• Review monthly closing processes to prevent errors
• Handle special projects as requested by management
• Help with the preparation of the yearly audit
• Assist in safeguarding the assets of investors
• Stay current on changes in regulations and other industry news
• Process the tax filings
• Develop system controls for ensuring data integrity

About You

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation
• Display vast knowledge of math and exceptional accounting skills
• Possess strong leadership, supervisory and management abilities
• Has excellent critical thinking as well as analytical skills
• Possess exceptional organizational skills and is an effective time manager and multi-tasker
• Has a working knowledge of accounting practices and financial accounting standards
• Has a good working knowledge of taxes in different provinces

Salary Range
$120,000-$140,000/year
