About the Company
This role provides the unique opportunity for the selected individual to support three generations of family members. In this position, you will report on the investment assets of the family along with having the opportunity to wear multiple hats around the office. This position offers great stability, and includes an excellent work-life balance with little to no overtime required. The office is very centrally located and easily accessible by GO or TTC.
About the Opportunity
- Support CFO with various admin function, including completion of correspondence and communication with family members and external parties as required
- Review and completion of account opening documents
- Organization and execution of philanthropic activities of the various foundations, and assist with various other administrative activities including filing, document maintenance and organization, and deliveries of sensitive documents
- Maintain the accounting system and data input (SAGE 300 ERP)
- Prepare quarterly financial statements
- Prepare for annual audits and reviews by external accountants, preparation of schedules to support tax returns (trusts, corporation, individuals), various other tax/information
- Ensure all liabilities (donation pledges, professional fees, payrolls remittances, operating expenses, income taxes, etc.) of the various entities are paid on a timely basis
About You
- Designated CPA (CA/CGA) preferred
- University degree
- 10-15 years of experience in a relevant role
- Excellent knowledge of accounting
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented
Salary Range
$120,000 - $140,000/year
