Collections/AR Specialist

About the Opportunity

  • Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements
  • Mail correspondence to customers to encourage payment of delinquent accounts
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with management 
  • Provide customer service regarding collection issues
  • Process customer refunds, process and review account adjustments, resolve client discrepancies and short payments
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining assigned accounts: customer calls, account adjustments, small balance write off and customer reconciliations
  • Accountable for reducing delinquency for assigned accounts
  • Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process

About You  

  • Minimum 5-10 years of high volume corporate collections experience including interaction with a large customer base
  • Strong knowledge of billing and collections procedures 
  • Accounts Receivable knowledge and experience is a plus 
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Commitment to superb customer service 
  • Solid written and verbal communication abilities 
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities 
  • Creative, self-disciplined and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency

Salary Range
$42,000 - $50,000/year
