About the Company

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will oversee and contribute fully to the development of the company’s operational strategy across multiple departments. We are looking for an operator that is an expert in process engineering and management. This individual will possess a combination of analytical aptitude, hustle, optimism and passion for the business.

The COO will be responsible for reviewing the current state of the business and implementing best practices to increase capabilities, grow the business and improve overall process. Working with all employees, the COO will build on a strong existing culture and provide direction to drive overall growth.

About the Opportunity  

• Lead all Canadian day-to-day operations, supervise the team’s output and troubleshoot problems and issues while driving operational efficiency and process
• Develop a deep understanding of the company’s work flow from end to end; recommend and implement strategies for improvement
• Analyze financial performance for strategic business decisions and advice on financial issues including planning, analysis and budgeting
• Develop the talent and culture by inspiring and shaping goals, behaviours and values from the top to creating a winning team that corresponds with the company’s core values

The COO will be evaluated on the following criteria:

• The ability to work well with the CEO
• The ability to drive operational effectiveness in the business
• Management and communication with all teams

Initial deliverables:

• Implementation of an Order Management System
• CRM mapping and implementation
• Process mapping and recommendations
• Reviewing and understanding departmental goals

About You

• 10+ years of experience in an operational leadership role with knowledge in financial analysis, advertising technology or management consulting required
• Strong leadership abilities to direct and manage teams
• Strong communication, presentation and consulting skills
• Lean Sigma or 6 Sigma training is recommended
• Proactive and possess confidence to be able to take initiative in leading all operational and strategic needs
• Excellent analytical skills with strong business acumen and knowledge to improve processes, identify risks and make recommendations for changes
• Ability to work under pressure and time constraints, multitask and to self-manage one’s own work stream
• MBA or other recognized designation and/or educational qualification

Salary Range
$150,000 - $200,000/year
