Business Systems Analyst – 6 Month Contract

As a Business Systems Analyst you will be responsible for acting as a liaison between all of our client’s business units and the Operational Change department. As a Business Systems Analyst you will also be responsible for ensuring that all corporate business systems meet the expected outcomes and needs of the business units.

About the Opportunity

  • Analyze complex business issues and work with Operational Change BSA's to assess how automated systems and business processes can be implemented
  • Develop project cost and benefit estimates to establish overall worth of the project. This will include developing alternative considerations and recommendations for new systems while following organizational standards to maintain quality of
  • Work with the operational change team to assist with the translation of data requirements into logical models
  • Co-ordinate all activities between Business Systems and Operations on assigned projects
  • You must be able to demonstrate a strong ability to collect, analyze, mine and leverage data
  • Determine project feasibility by performing necessary investigation, analysis and evaluation
  • Model and document project requirements, including workflow, user interface and quality assurance
  • Collaborate with users, managers, vendors, business unit super users and stakeholders to gather requirements and effectively plan for, manage and communicate requirements
  • Ensure that reporting systems provide appropriate business intelligence by analyzing reporting requirements and providing recommendations. While doing this, you must be able to conduct research and provides advice to other team members regarding the selection, application and implementation of business systems and management tools

About you

  • A university degree, college diploma or certification in a related field
  • 5+ years’ experience in process design and information technology business solutions as a Business Systems Analyst
  • Strong organizational ability with project management experience being an asset
  • You must be able to demonstrated ability to use innovative and effective methods to analyze data and produce business solutions that meet process requirements
  • You must possess exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and the ability to deal effectively with all levels of the organization, including both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Experience working on multiple systems projects in parallel
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications, Excel, Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and MS SharePoint
