Business Analyst

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to work closely with their team to document requirements and functional specifications, and to ensure that they are followed throughout the project life cycle.

About the Opportunity

  • Lead the requirements gathering process
  • Quickly understand the business issues and challenges of the client’s organization and industry
  • Ensure business, functional, non-functional and technical requirements are captured, organized, approved by the client, and followed throughout the project lifecycle
  • Lead business and technical analysis sessions to support existing and new digital efforts to meet current and projected business needs
  • Facilitate internal work sessions and stakeholder interviews
  • Understand and analyze business processes and workflows with the objective of process documentation and/or providing recommendations for process improvement
  • Understand and account for the business process impact of issues in other disciplines such as, technology, design or user experience  
  • Analyze requirements and identify gaps
  • Create functional specifications, user scenarios, and process flow diagrams
  • Manage change against requirements as well as keep functional specifications up to date according to client and internal feedback
  • Provide analysis and support for the client, strategy, UX, creative, development and quality assurance teams from project concept to completion
  • Communicate needed changes to business and project teams
  • Assist QA in the development of test plans
  • Possess strong understanding of web and project best practices
  • Ensure solutions fulfill both the client’s business and the user’s needs

About you

  • 3-5 years of experience documenting functional/non-functional requirements and specifications for a variety of software applications, websites and digital principals
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in a business, IS or related field
  • Proficient written and verbal communications skills
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail
  • Project and team leadership skills
  • Self-starter, willing to get involved and do whatever is needed to get the job done
  • Strong meeting and facilitation skills
  • Demonstrate a strong digital technical understanding (web, mobile, responsive design, emerging technologies)
  • Familiar with a variety of modern web development concepts, practices, and procedures (HTML5, CSS, XML, SQL, CMS, CDN, analytics, etc.)
  • Demonstrate proven experience in a variety of analysis and requirements gathering techniques (workshops, work sessions, interviews, research, etc.)
    Proficient in developing and presenting project-appropriate documentation
  • Handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Previous agency experience a plus
