Billing Manager/Supervisor

About the Opportunity

  • Ensuring invoices are issued on a timely basis
  • Address client billing issues before they become collection issues
  • Meet monthly billing targets and achieve DSO targets set by the business units 
  • Manage a large team of Billing Coordinators, and provide guidance and support to ensure issues are identified and addressed in a timely manner
  • Guide employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating billing policies procedures, methods, and guidelines
  • Meet billing financial standards by providing annual billing budget information, monitor expenditures, identify variances and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure appropriate levels of training to all staff members and workloads are balanced to ensure a high quality of work-life balance
  • Troubleshoot and respond promptly to concerns and issues raised internally and externally
  • Present and clearly articulate results and recommendations to upper management
  • Administer team meetings to outline daily targets and goals
  • Other duties as required

About You  

  • Post-secondary education from an accredited university or college in accounting or finance
  • 5-10 years of finance experience in a similar role
  • Experienced running a large billing team
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in English
  • Strong work-ethic, able to multitask and manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge using Excel and other Microsoft Office products
  • Some travel may be required within Canada

Salary Range
$60,000 - $80,000/year
