Associate of Operations
The Associate of Operations will be a key member of the risk and portfolio management team. This role will be focused on assisting in developing, overseeing, and coordinating the risk and portfolio management programs across our global assets and ensure objectives are met by our businesses. The Associate of Operations will have the opportunity to work directly with portfolio management professionals, leadership teams at our portfolio companies, and other groups both within Infrastructure and across other platforms. This role will report to the Manager of Operations in the Infrastructure Group. This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a young professional looking to grow their career in a dynamic, fast-paced, and challenging environment. This opportunity also has the potential to evolve into a cross-functional role that will support our Chief Risk Officer, Chief Operating Officers, and Chief Technical Officer in various management projects.
About the Opportunity
- Oversee and drive core portfolio management programs, including Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), Anti-Bribery and Corruption (ABC) and Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE)
- Prepare and maintain ERM, ABC, HSSE, Regulatory and other quarterly reporting for the client’s Board
- Assist in risk due diligence for potential acquisitions, including conducting research and completing risk assessments
- Prepare materials for various risk and portfolio management Committees, including the ABC Committee, Advisory Committee of Private Funds, and Conflicts Committee
- Communicate risk and portfolio management objectives to our businesses, including requesting and tracking information, summarizing outcomes and ensuring objectives are met
- Coordinate risk and portfolio management meetings with members of the company and portfolio company leadership
- Track and organize communications and materials sent to our various risk and portfolio management Committees
- Manage inquiries from portfolio companies and other groups on risk and portfolio management programs
- Assist with other strategic portfolio management initiatives within the Infrastructure group
About You
- An undergraduate university degree with a focus in Business, Finance, or equivalent is preferred
- At least three (3 - 5) years of relevant work experience (CPA designation would be an asset but not required)
- Strong analytical skills to identify and assess risk from various sources of data
- Dedicated, well-organized with a high attention to detail, ability to handle confidential and non-routine information
- A positive, proactive attitude and excellent interpersonal abilities
- Ability to interact and communicate at all levels, both internally or externally
- Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment, to adapt quickly and to manage changing priorities
- Confident in the management of various ongoing tasks
- Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and is looking to grow and evolve their career
- Strong knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Salary Range
$65,000 - $85,000/year
