About the Company

Our client is focused on leading innovation and improvement. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play an instrumental role across all major financial processes and continuous improvement projects. You will be located in downtown Toronto, just a few blocks from the CN Tower and steps away from some of the world's best venues, restaurants, shops and the underground PATH.

About the Opportunity  

• Manage and lead core accounts receivable processes, including driving reduction in DSO, analyzing payment trends, forecasting cash receipts, adjusting customer credit limits and reporting on other AR KPIs  
• Manage the AR Deductions Analyst and oversee their day-to-day work
• Lead the design and implementation of departmental and cross-functional process improvement projects
• Manage the intercompany reconciliation process and perform intercompany transactions
• Lead the cash flow forecasting process and other working capital initiatives
• Actively lead the financial control aspects of month-end and year-end closing processes, including building complex provisions, accrual analysis, and high-risk balance sheet reconciliations
• Partner with commercial finance team to analyze month-end financial statements
• Build strong relationships with business partners across the company, nationally and globally
• Manage and prepare semi-monthly payroll submissions, with the corporate accountant, to a third-party service provider to ensure compliance to regulatory guidelines
• Coordinate the external audit and tax return process and organize working papers
• Perform ad-hoc analysis and reporting to meet business requirements

About You

You are a highly motivated, dynamic, and enthusiastic professional who:

• Is a qualified CPA with 3-5 years of post-qualification, progressive accounting and finance experience in the consumer product industry
• Has strong analytical skills, including advanced MS Excel; preferably has experience using SAP or another ERP system
• Has experience in an accounts receivable analysis role, including deductions management
• Is an effective communicator and builds strong relationships across the business
• Works well in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, and finds process improvements and efficiencies
• Has the courage to explore new ideas and ways of thinking, take calculated risks, and diplomatically challenge the norm
• Manages time exceptionally well, plans and executes multiple projects, and balances priorities

Salary Range
$80,000-$85,000/year
